It comes with select grade wood which has a limited number of markings and no sapwood or large knots, giving an even, clean and crisp look. The appearance is enhanced by a satin lacquer, which gives the wood a sheen to gently reflect the light, as well as hardening the floor to make it easier to maintain and clean. Oak makes up the top layer of three - with the other two consisting of spruce - and the 2.5 mm top layer can be sanded up to three times, although with good care and maintenance it will be around 20 years before this treatment is needed. The planks are 130 mm in width, 14 mm thick and come in standard lengths of 2200 mm.
