Back in March 2012, I was lucky enough to catch the Haw running on two consecutive Wednesdays. The first day the river was at 4000cfs and rising. After safely running the Haw that day, I completed a doubleheader by going to a Carolina Hurricanes game at the PNC Center and watching the Canes win! The following Wed. it was at 2100cfs and falling after having peaked at 14400cfs earlier in the week. As usual I paddled with some friends from the Carolina Canoe Club and had a blast each trip!
