If you are looking for a Mac screen recorder, look here! In this video, I recorded the same screencast with three different Mac screen recorders. Quicktime (free, comes with OS X) Screeny ($15 in Mac App Store, I got it free through a promotion) Screencast-o-matic (free, web-based, URL in corner of video) Overall, I feel that putting these through iMovie degraded the quality quite a bit. They all seemed to perform similarly, however Quicktime seemed to be a little smoother, followed by Screeny. Screencast-o-matic was kind of choppy and just didn't perform as well as the others (due to the fact that it's web based most likely.)
