Developing algorithms for Net2Plan: CAC (Connection-Admission and Control) algorithms

The Connection-Admission-Control simulation tool simulates the network operation, where traffic demands are the source of random arrivals of connection requests. Each connection request has an associated duration and traffic volume, that can be randomly or deterministically chosen according to a user-defined or built-in pattern. In average, the offered traffic summing the connection request arrivals of a demand, are expected to match the demand offered traffic volume. This simulation tool permits testing the performances of built-in or user-defined CAC (Connection-Admission-Control) algorithms, that block the connection requests or allocate them (deciding their route). Network performances like connection blocking measures are collected and reported to the user. This videos helps to load, run, modify and provide guidelines for develop algorithms for this tool. More information about this and others tools can be found visiting www.net2plan.com.
